Deals, Packages and Desirability

A hypothetical situation:
Suppose there’s a package deal with A, B and C. You like that package, but u dont think u can afford it. U really really like A and B, and even though C is not the best product that could’ve been there, u really dont care abt it. As long as A and B r there, its a great package. C is not of any use anyway.

Now suddenly the package is within ur reach. and u have to make a decision whether to take it or not. A and B are still great, but C doesnt seem that unimportant any longer. The more u think abt it, more u get confused. Can u really ignore C that easily? Should u take the package or not?

Funny how every small decision in life becomes so complicated once the time to take the decision actually arrives. And funny how EVERYTHING seems to be a package deal. Take it or leave it – no cherrypicking possible.

Actually even if we were allowed to cherrypick, we wouldnt really know what to select and what to leave. Every small and stupid thing seems important once u realize u cant have it. And every great thing seems small enough to ignore once u actually have it.

The grass is always greener on the other side.

May we always have the sight and wisdom to keep the desirability independent of the probability of availability for everything we might or might not desire.
